Crack or finish issue Taylor 314CE
Sorry if the wrong place but thought I’d start here at least. I’ve had my Taylor 314CE for about 11 years now. Needless to say I love it. But yesterday I noticed the scratch/crack on the outside (1st pic). The area is a little bit softer as well. When i looked inside to see if the crack had gone through, I saw this mark (2nd pic). I don’t remember hitting it or spilling anything in there. I live in the UK so not particularly humid or dry. I very occasionally use one of the D’Addario humid packs. No where on the guitar fills swollen or sunken. I’ve taken the strings off to be sure I don’t cause any further damage.
I’m trying to book a luthier to look at it but thought I’d see I can get some opinions and thoughts first about what it is and what may have caused it?
