I am 95% done with my first batch of painted Battletech Minis!

I have a bit of highlighting to do, and 1 full mech to add, so I can have 4 full lances.

I'm thinking either a Grasshopper or Centurion.

My first painted mini was the Vindicator, my favourite are the Locusts and Wolverine.

Battletech is so incredibly fun to paint. I've severely put off finishing my AoS list for a tournament due in 3 weeks due to painting Battletech.

Such a blast to get these guys done in just under 2 months, time flew by!

So time to buckle down and smash out 40 dwarves...

AC/10 Shadow Hawk

Hey y'all!

I really wanted to try and make a Shadow Hawk with an AC/10. This is my first time customising a mech, and I'm still pretty new to the game. I haven't touched double heat sinks because I'm still unsure how they fit in with Timelines and Eras.

Any critiques or criticisms on the design would be greatly appreciated. Would be great to know if I'm missing any important points when tinkering with mechs.

Also if anyone could please help explain alittle how the BV2 is calculated? For example, why is this variation of Shadow Hawk 200BV worse than a Wolverine 6m? Is it just because the AC/10 is weight inefficient, allowing the Wolverine to have better armour and heatsinks?

Edit: I just realised the Medium Laser is in the wrong torso, and I have moved it over.

Evenly matched, asymmetrical forces for beginners.

Hey y'all! I have finished painting up the Begginer box set and AGOAC Box set. After I take my friends through a few games with 2v2 - locust + Griffin vs Commando + Vindictor - what is the most even 4v4 we can do? I'm also completely new. Having only done a beginners game once, and AGOAC rules game once verse myself.

I have Locust x2, Commando, Shadow Hawk, Griffon, Vindicator, Wolverine, Thunderbolt, Catapult.

I understand it's not good advice to go straight into a 4v4, but I would like to know for the future what a good split would be.

Finished my first lance!

About a week after picking up the beginner box, I have also grabbed the AGOAC Box and started painting it. I still have all its medium and heavy mechs to do.

I absolutely love the Locust, it and the Catapult are going to be my favourite Mechs, I think.

And I really want a King Crab...

I'm so excited to keep painting these bad boys!

My first Mech!

Hey y'all! I bought into the hobby this afternoon and finished my first mech in 3 hours. I am hooked!

Have been watching/listening to Science Insanity and he gave me a love for the Mechs.

I know basically nothing about the Lore or Lore accurate paint schemes 😅

Just happy to paint some cool Mechs after 3 years in Age of Sigmar and painting hundreds of dwarves.
