Loch Mullardoch Munros
A beautiful traverse on Tuesday which included Munro tick #100. A long journey back by the loch edge, but the blue skies made up for it. Midges galore!

What weather services do people use to plan their hikes? Cairns can now show the latest MWIS report for each hill, but am interesting in adding more services if useful!
Custom lists work similarly to the built in lists (Munros, Corbetts, Wainwrights, etc.). Give the list a name, then add the hills from a list or the map.
- Create a bucket-list of hills you’d like to climb.
- Discover stats such as top companions for hills in your area.
- Plan a weekend trip.
Press the play button to hear how hills are pronounced. This works best when the system voice ‘Fiona’ is downloaded from your iOS or macOS Accessibility Settings.
To aid with responsible planning, see which Ordnance Survey Landranger and Explorer maps each hill can be found on.
Start viewing a hill or hike on one device, and seamlessly pick up where you left off from a nearby device. Similarly, send a link to a hill to someone else for them to quickly open it in the app.
- Fixed: It was not possible to import hills from a CSV file from certain apps.
- Fixed: State restoration was not working on macOS.
Cairns has just been updated in time for the weekend!
Cairns 1.4 is now available for iOS and iPadOS for free on the App Store. macOS currently waiting for review.
