What if in Melbourne political policies were judged without voters knowing who proposed them? (FYI, the Victorian election is in late 2026)

Policies could be listed anonymously by political parties instead of being slogans that are crap and not what we want. These could be alongside people in Melbourne who would also like a say. Experts in their field (often experienced leaders within a particular public servant department, and academics, etc.) could list probable outcomes so that the Melbourne people are fully informed.

I got beeped at a roundabout a little while back

It was not this roundabout. Nor the second one, I just added them for ref. And also the second one is the crazy Mooroolbark one that is just so good, lol.
Anywho, just checking who else knows the rules in Vic regarding who gets right of way?
I entered the roundabout before another person who was to the right of me. They must have guessed they had right of way (over 25 years ago it used to be that you give way to your right). So, they beeped me. They were far away, so there were no issues, but I was wondering if others have had this happen?

Vic election is in Nov. I wondered if anyone knows the answers

Everyone wants a politician to do the right thing, but what is the right thing?

What do we want or need politicians to do?

How can they make it so politics is not a swear word anymore?

Are political parties in Australia too rigid and small-minded to do things we need them to do?

I got this AUSALERT on my work phone, but not on my personal phone. Is it because the phones were near each other?

FYI: my partner is on the same plan and service as me for our personal phones, and she got the message.

At risk of posting too much about drinking, The Mitre has my memories s well as old time memories

This is a fav. Probably you've been there recently too.
And if people visit you in town, you probably show them this place and proudly explain how it is the oldest pub or building or something in the city. And then we also say: yeah, not really sure, but it's old.
It's just as expensive as all the rest of the pubs in the CBD, and they never have a happy hour. I still go there anyway because of the memories and atmosphere.
I used to run a theatre show there too.
And I had a group I would meet there for nerdy chats and sometimes board games. It probably still happens.

I remember spending many nights at Retro in the early 2000s

Was it always here? I can't even remember. And that's not just because of the drinks, but because I'm old :/

I like it when I find weird places in Melbourne. Anyone know if it's still used?

There's a sign nearby saying: EPA air monitoring station.

I have no political parties or funders stopping me from helping you mathewclarke.com.au

If I was married to a political party then I would have to adhere to their theme rather than spending my time helping you. It seems like the way you can get more done for where you live: Melbourne mathewclarke.com.au
