I self published a novella last year and it was crickets. 2 sales, 1 to my mother. So depressing. I took a year and decided to rework the novella into a novel. Totally honed…did the arc campaigns on book sprouts story origin and penpinery. Total dud. I got 1 review from my ARC efforts.

Book has been published for 16 days now and made .16 - I really thought if I did it differently and did a social media campaign I would get different results.

My social campaign is so pathetic. 14 followers IG 4 FB 200 TikTok

I don’t know what’s going on but I spent $130 on ads this week and no results. Split among Amazon and bookbub.

I really dedicated a year to this novel and was planning on having thousands on kdp etc… I used keywords.
Feeling terribly disheartened.
Any way to get eyes on a self published pen name debut novel?
It’s high spice.
I have 3 reviews and they are good. But another question; one gave 4/5 stars but then it transferred to Amazon as 3 stars. Any way to correct that?

Hi, I’m writing steamy romance and thought I was on point for the genre. But I was just reading a thread about third act break up and realized I might be incorrect.

My premise is married woman and mother starts an affair with a stranger during a week when her family is away.
It’s a trilogy and the first book ends with Grace having a fight with her lover, Jake.

The ending of book 1: She’s on the brink of confessing to her husband why she won’t accept a much needed contract.

By book 3, there is a HEA and a wedding but she goes through the wringer. Her husband leaves her, her child gets bullied. She’s building her business under financial strain.

There’s so much sex I’m exhausted. Over 30%. So the genre I chose is contemporary Romance, spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Am I making a mistake? Bc I can’t even get an ARC review. No one is biting.

I’ve tried all the sites: story origin pen pinery etc and paid $$$ and have nothing to show for it.

Any suggestions? I feel like I can’t promote fully till I have reviews. Publishing my debut novel on KDP 8/12 please help!
