Does anyone know what plant this is and why it's leaf is dancing?
Came across this in grand valley Olympic national Park. There was little to no wind but the leaf on the right is rhythmically dancing. To what? How? What is going on here?!

I made a little video describing that I am doing everything apparently correct but it locks up with air:
We are thinking Mt fremont lookout trail or Burroughs mountain loop. We want to start at about 3am sunday morning and want which ever trail is most colorful and epic to experience as the sun is coming up! Help us experienced North Rainier sunrise hikers!!!
I am 40 years old, visiting Oaxaca City from the USA to meet my girlfriend's little sisters who are native to Oaxaca. Meeting her family is important to her and I am happy to finally do so- and it will happen to be my birthday on saturday.
Its fine if I dont have a mega bash but does anyone have any ideas for what I could do to celebrate considering that I will have 2 teenagers with me? I dont drink anyway so again, nothing to fancy, but maybe there is a fun social area or special food that we could be toasting with. Or maybe some Fancy non-alcoholic beverage!
Hi! I have been to many of the popular places in Mexico already but have always been curious about Guanajuato and San Miguel. I have 5 days available before I have to return to CDMX via bus. I wonder the best way to split those? 3 days in Guan and 2 in San Miguel? Or perhaps thats just too rushed and I just just forgo San Migeul and spend all 5 days in Guanajato?
If it matters I have from the USA, speak decent enough spanish, and love to hike, enjoy walking around in nice town/city atmospheres (but dont care about touring or looking at any one particular building / artchiecutre). I love to socialize and will engage strangers on the street no problem, and have good cheap streets foods, authentic local life. I dont like museums. I understand that San Miguel has more of a focus on more expensive dining, its not really my interest but as long as cheaper local street alternatives exist, then I am ok.
Hi, I am from the USA and will be in Mexico city for some needed dental work. I will at some point have 6 days between appointments in which I want to travel and explore elsewhere.
I have already been to Oaxaca, Puebla, Chiapas, Guadalajara and Monterrey.
I wouldnt mind doing a hike or seeing more of mid-size towns or nature areas that are interesting. I do not like museums or staring at old buildings. I love meeting new people as I am very warm and friendly and interesting food. Based on this info, where would you recommend I explore with only 6 days? It can be nearby Mexico City or perhaps I can fly anywhere. Xilitla looks fascinating! However its an 8 hour bus ride away I thing and hopefully there is enough to do there for a few days to make the journey worth it.
I feel like I have already visited many popular places and know very little about the rest of the country.
