Since NATCA won’t update us on anything or make any public comment, I figure this is a good place to round up and fact check some rumors. Those rumors are as followed:

Controllers being fired for leaving early (True)

Controllers being fired for abusing sick leave (TBD)

Controllers being fired for not being sick on sick leave (True)

Managers not being fired for any offense described (TBD)

A total of approximately 30 employees being fired in southern region alone for various offenses (TBD)

I’ll try to update this with other rumors that get posted and if someone can fact check one I’ll try to update it as well.

That NATCA national only responds to an event after Marengos and Brown makes a comment?

Make no mistake, the current NEB is scared. Campaign season starts now. Hopefully we can elect new people from facrep-president and turn NATCA into a powerful union instead of a social club.

1 proposed termination from Western Pacific. 3 in Eastern. 1 in southern. And that’s the ones that I know about. The agency is letting go of controllers completely disregarding any warnings or notices. Why hasn’t NATCA commented about this for us to stand in solidarity??
