Need help organizing and planning my smartphone exodus
Dear tech community,
for health and privacy reasons otherwise concluded as i don't want to be forced to partake in the modern big tech networks anymore i'm currently planning on replacing my Smartphone with a retro 2000's cell phone. I decided to go retro because the options are much more cheaper and i don't see why i should pay 500$ for a phone with less functions. Also i hope the older models won't be as trackable as current phones, even if they're promoted as "dumb".
Also i have some groups i don't want to loose connections with so i'm kind of in search for a phone model that would be close to some form of hybrid: dumb with an option to connect- i looked already at the nokia garnet or blackberrys from 2014. Something that would be able to let me look up stuff at the internet or give me access to signal.
I might be romantisizing here a bit (mind you, i'm an absolute noob in any tech-related field, only filled with dreams and hopes) but i think a small cyberdeck-y feel would be nice to it, maybe with a small keyboard? I'm also thinking about getting a combination with the sony erricson w995 and the pocket wizard as a mobile digital device, but the pocket wizard will only ship out in march.
So yes, my mind is kind of wandering off here again.
i would be very glad if some of you could help me sort out my ideas on this and help find a right direction?
thank you so much for your help!
