Hi everyone,

I have a doubt regarding CGPA calculation at VIT-AP.

I registered for an additional University Elective and unfortunately received an F grade.

However, I have already completed the required 12/12 credits in the University Elective basket with other elective courses.

My questions are:

1. Will this F grade still be included in my CGPA even though I have already completed the required 12 elective credits?
2. If I clear the course in the arrear exam and get a passing grade, will that grade be included in my CGPA?
3. Since only 12 credits are required, does VIT consider the highest-scoring 12 credits from the University Elective basket, or will this additional elective continue to affect my CGPA regardless?

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my passport application and could use some advice.

During the verification process, the officer asked me to expand the initial “p” in my mother’s name. I mentioned “Paluru” verbally, but that’s not her official name—just an explanation of the initial.

In all official documents (like her Aadhaar and my 10th certificate), her name is written as “P S Lakshmi” with initials, not expanded.

Now I’m worried this might cause a problem with my application since I gave a verbal expansion during verification.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? Will this create a problem, and what’s the best way to fix it?
