Himachali Literature Recommendations!
Greetings folks! How are you all?
I am from Kasauli, and I’ve lived in Chandigarh most of my life. I am an aspiring PhD student and have a few questions for you. Recently, I’ve felt that I don’t really know a lot about my own culture or its world. However, I was so grateful to find this channel on Reddit.
Anyhow, my question is: as I am hoping to do research on Himachal literature or something like that, are there any books, texts, or other written material I could access? Basically, any novelists or authors who write exclusively about and for Himachal (preferably fiction). However, I have no bias against any literature, be it from Shimla, Kullu, or any other. I just wish to read as much as I can and work my way through it.
On the other hand, I would be grateful for any folk/oral, post-colonial, contemporary, or even non-fiction literature, if it would help. Additionally, even books related to languages are welcome. If you guys have anything or anyone in mind, kindly drop a comment. Thank you!
