This feels silly to post but I’m a new assistant professor this fall semester and I am trying to figure out the norms for what to wear. For context I’m a 30 year old cis female who likes to wear sandals(nice, not flip flops) but multiple faculty have made comments about choosing to not wear open toed shoes to teach. Thoughts on this? Is it that big of a deal?
