MSC in Bristol vs Southampton
Hi all,
I’m an international student deciding between two Master's offers. My main goal is to secure a job and stay in the UK after graduation. I have zero full-time corporate experience (6 months part-time internship in my country), but a strong academic background in Finance.
Uni of Bristol (MSc Business Analytics)
• Pros: Better ranking and prestige.
• Cons: Only a £6,500 Think Big scholarship. It's over my budget. I'd have to work a part-time survival job.Uni of Southampton (MSc Business Analytics & Finance)
• Pros: £11,000 scholarship. Fits my budget perfectly. The "Finance" module also aligns well with my background. The syllabus offers an External Summer Project (idk if it would be a real plus point for my CV)
• Cons: Lower ranking and less prestige compared to Bristol.
For a fresh grad with no experience, does Bristol's higher prestige actually make it easier to land a job in the UK compared to Southampton? What should i choose?
Can anyone share the experience regarding student life, chances afer grad, actual living cost in both? Which option provides better value pls?
