City of Orange, NJ

Hello, I’ve been looking into apartments in the city of orange and they seem reasonable priced for where they’re located and fairly new. Is there something I’m missing about that area? I haven’t been able to find anything about it. Is it safe, walkable, hard to park, should I avoid it completely?
Which areas of orange are the best for apartments for a young couple, east, west?

Moving to nj soon

Hi everyone! My boyfriend (21M) and me (22F) are likely moving to NJ for his new job he just got. It’s located in Roseland, NJ but we’ve been looking at prices and it’s insane. I work remotely so no need for me to commute anywhere. Just wondering if there are any towns nearby he can commute from where we can get maybe a 1-2 bedroom for less than 2500? Not sure if that’s even possible. He’s willing to commute up to 45 mins a day.
