Old reefkeeper changing to Oranda tank with sump - flow rates?
Years ago I was into reefkeeping....I have now have a child wanting orandas and I"m trying to do it right with her setup. I have a 40g breeder tank that I can drill and a 20g sump tank.
Anyone using a similar size sump and care to share your flow rates/return pump? I had planned on 3/4 pvc but now I"m thinking I should consider 1 inch, although I assume the sump flow will have to be somewhat lower compared to those something like canister filters. Looking for advice on what's working for those with a sump tank and what that setup/flow/plumbing looks like for you.
