Dual SSD Refurb, $500 USA?

Hi folks:

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE
Country
United States
Budget
$500
Are you open to refurbs/used options?
Yes. Looking for refurb.
Screen size
Any
Weight limit
5 pounds or less
Purpose
General and Educational
Form factor
Standard/Clamshell (a regular laptop)
Intended usage
Work, browse and learn Linux
Desired battery life
4 hours or so. Will mostly be plugged in.
Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life
Light weight
Info/Requirements
Illuminated keyboard would be nice.

I'd like a cheep laptop refurb for a Linux and Windows dual boot.

I'm under the impression that an SSD for each OS is a better config than sharing one SSD for both.

A battery that's replaceable, by user or a tech, would be nice. I have no idea if any such laptops exist.

Can somebody suggest some makes and models with these features? I'll use this for refurb searches.

My old ASUS G750 had two SSDs, but I'm looking for something less heavy, and working.

Thanks
Larry

Emergency Decision Time

Hi folks:

I'm 76, only signed up for Social Security with Medicare a couple of years ago when I was 74, yes I'm an idiot.

I couldn't afford Medicare B, starting Medicare this late makes it something like a $400 deduction from my Social Security. I've been planing on getting it when I start making some money on a little business I've been trying to get profitable.

Today I did a bad knee twist with audible popping and a lot of pain. I'm not putting any weight on it today.

This sounds like part Medicare B, with X Ray, ambulance and other extras, might be worth the price.

Can I sign up for Plan B today, and should I try?

Thanks

Larrt
