In the "Insights" section of the mod tools, under activity, there are two numbers: "avg daily unique visitors" and "weekly visitors" (if you don't know which numbers I'm talking about).

According to this help article, "weekly visitors" are unique visitors, and that the number is the total number of unique visitors in the past 7 days based on a 28 day rolling average. However if these "weekly visitors" really are unique, that does not add up; one sub I moderate has 175k average daily unique visitors and 496k "weekly visitors", according to these numbers.

"Average daily unique visitors" makes sense to me, but my question is, what does "weekly visitors" exactly mean?

Edit: The help article specifically talks about the number of weekly visitors in the sidebar (which differs from the number in the insights), so I'm not sure if that applies here. But what are weekly visitors then? Looking at the statistics of another sub I mod which recently had a visitors anomaly, that's the average number of non-unique visitors per day based on a 28 day average?
