I am sharing how Mega Ascension-Finale ended up for me. I had a great time with raids, but basically zero luck with wild shiny until Saturday afternoon, when I felt like I ran into more random wild hundos and shundos than I have in the last year. Felt like every day, I would get 4 or 5 shiny and, if lucky, one shiny with background. All day Sunday, I did 205 raids and got 6 shiny and zero with background. I had fun with friends, but my main issue with events like this is that they've taken success out of my hands. No matter how much I raid, walk, catch, or spend, i can't get a shiny chosen starter unless the game decides I get lucky. I can no longer buy passes with "shiny boosts" unless they tell us the exact catch rate because I dont trust them after this event. It felt like a way to get people to waste as much of their time and resources and reward as little as possible so everyone's a bit more desperate by the time something new drops. I had fun, because i threw enough raid passes at it for results, but I didn't really enjoy being locked out of our chosen starters shiny, and all the old Pokémon and a lack of Reternatus or anything big. Also didnt like them bringing back armored mewtwo just to lock the shiny after 6 years and tell us we need to raid it again shortly after. I dont mean to complain, im humbled by how well I did, and this is a hobby i enjoy, I just wanted to share the bitter sweetness. How did you all do? Hope you all did well. Caught in the wild before the event vs. Paid Go Pass results, anyone else 30 levels in without a single shiny bg starter?
It took me 150 Dragonite raids to get a single shiny w a background. I got it at the last raid of the day at 9:55pm, there was 7 seconds left before raids ended, and I joined and hit ready!
Happy I got it, but I couldn't tell how the deluxe shiny boost for these raids helped at all. Did anyone else have better luck after getting the deluxe go pass? I dont usually do 4 star raids to be familiar with the odds
Overall, I got 4 shiny Dragonites and 3 hundos before I got a single shiny w bg, so im not complaining. I'm just curious if anyone else had a tough go today?

Cosmog Pika went live in one star raids today here in auss, did 22 raids, and sent my non shiny mates to the Professor. I got 2 in 12 and then got my 3rd on the 22nd raid. Is it regular one-star shiny odds, or are they raised for the event?
