Sunday Night Blues
Anyone else get the blues every Sunday night knowing you have to walk back into that hell hole on Monday morning?
It would go a LONG way if we could just revert to our previous 2/3 work schedule.

Still no info on when legacy Cox employees will receive the bonus money promised to them “within 30 days of close”.
Lack of info on who is responsible for what between Cox and Spectrum business-wise.
Lack of info on calculations for vacation and sick time.
Lack of info from the top on relocations, changing leaders, etc.
Lack of info on employee reviews.
The appalling silence from leadership on very basic things that affect not only our ability to work cohesively but also just morale in general is starting to feel like a hostage situation.
“ Just come to work and do your job. You may or may not get paid what we promised, and you may or may not need to uproot your family, and you may or may not get the bonus we promised you, and you also may or may not have time off during the holidays, and oh… we also threw a random number on your holiday and sick time, but you’ll have to trust us that it’s correct.”
This is all gross.
Unprofessional and gross.
Curious what everyone thought of the employee training courses?
The example video of the racial harassment with the guy asking someone if they spoke Spanish was special.
Glad to see that a company with a senior leadership team made up of almost 100% white males is looking to make sure everyone is respected and represented.

Can someone from charter please clarify a couple of things about vacation time?
Does vacation time roll over or not?
Does charter allow you to go negative on vacation time?
We are now a couple weeks into the new normal and still have little to zero information about business processes, transitioning roles, equipment, or anything else.
Former Cox employees are all being told different things and some groups at the Atlanta campus are still doing business the Cox way and only coming in 2 days per week.
It is very concerning that many of us will seemingly be told we have to relocate (right before Christmas?), uprooting our homes and families with zero guarantee that once we move to another location, we won’t face layoffs again.
It also appears Spectrum is circumventing the WARN act requirements by laying off small groups of people a little at a time versus publicizing the fact that they are, indeed, laying a ton of people off.
It is CLEAR that they don’t give a shit about their newly-acquired employees and only seek to make shareholders happy and this feels way bigger than just “Cox people whining” about the new crappy state of business.
Interesting that there is so much silence while they “regroup” and determine who to get rid of and who to keep.
Had a lunch meeting today in Atlanta with 5 or 6 directors and VPs from Spectrum and some of the tech and finance groups.
They showed several slides with pictures of leaders and business silos.
The HR guy (I think he was a director or VP) actually stood up in front of the room and congratulated himself on Spectrum going from 3/2 in office to 4/1 and then waxed poetic about “how much people loved it”. Several people rolled their eyes.
Several fought the urge to yell “Sure, Jan.”
Not much information of value EXCEPT they said they were “looking at everyone’s roles and would announce a new alignment structure in 30 days”.
Pouliopolous said Atlanta “might” become a hub.
Basically, still a lot of uncertainty, cloudy information, indirect threats to bring your ass to the office or get fired, and one really uncomfortable exchange between the HR guy and an elderly woman who asked if her work from home accommodation due to her blindness would be honored and HR dude basically was like, “Nope. Accommodations aren’t meant to be permanent”.
Thought it might be good to have a list of all the confirmed and rumored changes coming for people at the Atlanta headquarters:
CONFIRMED: Was 2 days WFO, now 4 days in office
CONFIRMED: Was unlimited PTO, now earned time
CONFIRMED: Was mostly casual dress with jeans allowed, now business casual with no denim and no sneakers
CONFIRMED: Atlanta-based employees may be asked to move to a different city
CONFIRMED: Atlanta will be a COE for Spectrum Business
RUMORED: Spectrum management is pulling badge swipes to confirm in-office attendance
It will be interesting to see how tone deaf the speech and comments will be at this morning’s town hall in the rotunda.
Increased security presence and black pipe and drape.
Feels like a funeral.
