Day 6 - Reset
There were no improvements today, just a reset. It's not a save, but it's still welcome. Has anyone received it yet? Not here.

I updated Codex today, started a session, and the first thing it did was compact the context.
12% of my entire 5h limit. Gone.
One compaction.
Before doing any meaningful work. 💀
Maybe the update has nothing to do with it, but with all the weird quota burn, performance issues, connection problems, and Astra speculation people are talking about today… I’m curious
If you updated Codex today, what changed or broke for you?
Slower responses? Weird quota usage? Connection issues? Compaction problems? Something else?
Because losing 12% to ONE compaction definitely wasn’t on my bingo card. 💀

Tibo says we might have “something to celebrate” tomorrow.
But… what exactly? 😂
The new 5-hour window for Plus? Another reset? Or are we actually getting a real improvement this time?
Because lately the cycle feels like:
new limits → complaints → 🍬 RESET → celebration → repeat
Either way, I’ll happily take my candy tomorrow. 💀
So place your bets:
Another reset, higher limits, an actual improvement… or just more candy? 🍬👀
I've been tracking my Codex usage every 5 minutes since July 29 — 14,744 snapshots so far.
I'm on a Business Standard seat, not Premium, and when I compared my data before and after the 5h window was introduced, I found this:
Before: ~323M tokens/week
Now: ~173M tokens/week
That's roughly 46% fewer effective tokens per week.
And that's where the new 5h window starts looking a lot more significant than I originally thought.
Because if these early numbers hold up, this isn't just a change in when we can use Codex.
It could mean a significant reduction in how many tokens we can actually process in a week. 💀
I still only have a few complete cycles under the new system, so I'm not claiming the 46% is definitive yet.
But going from ~323M to ~173M is way too big a difference to ignore.
Does anyone on Plus or Business Standard have usage logs from before and after the 5h window? I'd really like to know if you're seeing something similar.
Tibo just announced another reset for tomorrow.
My first reaction:
LET'S GOOOO 😂
But then I thought...
What are these resets actually fixing?
Codex still feels slower, usage still feels weird, and the limits keep changing.
Then things get chaotic and suddenly:
🍬 RESET! Back to 100%.
Everyone celebrates... and a few days later we're talking about the same problems again.
Maybe resets are just compensation while they fix the real issues.
Or maybe they're candy to keep us happy for a while 😂
Either way, I'll happily take my candy tomorrow. 💀🍬
Real solution, temporary compensation, or PR candy?
OpenAI just rolled out the new Premium seats for ChatGPT Business, and I'm curious if anyone here has already tested them.
According to OpenAI:
What I'm really interested in is the real-world usage limit, especially for heavy users.
Has anyone tested Premium extensively with things like:
How difficult is it to actually hit the weekly limit?
And for anyone who has both: how does a Business Premium seat compare with ChatGPT Pro in terms of actual usable capacity?
I'm considering upgrading, but "5x more capacity" is still pretty vague without knowing what the underlying limits are.

Would love to hear from anyone who's already stress-tested it.
