Need advice: Is a marriage certificate apostille required for an Ireland spouse visa? (India → Ireland)

Hi everyone,

I'm applying next week for an Ireland Long Stay D Join Family/Spouse visa from India, and I'm getting conflicting information about whether my Indian marriage certificate needs to be apostilled before submitting the application.

Has anyone here applied recently?

- Did you get your marriage certificate apostilled?

- Was it specifically required by the visa office or VFS?

- If you didn't get it apostilled, was your visa application accepted without any issues?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your recent experience, especially if you applied within the last year.

Thanks in advance!

SAP career in Ireland

Hi everyone,

I have 8+ years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant, with hands-on experience in SAP administration, system installations, upgrades (SUM/SPAM), migrations (DMO), certificate management, SSO/SAML, SolMan, BTP/IAS, Fiori, and BRIM environments. I have also worked extensively with SAP Convergent Charging (CC) and Convergent Mediation (CM) for billing and invoicing projects.

I am planning to move to Ireland on a spouse visa, so I will not require employer sponsorship.

I would like to understand the current demand and future scope for SAP Basis professionals in Ireland. How is the job market for someone with my background, particularly in upgrade, migration, and Basis support projects? Any insights on opportunities, hiring trends, or salary expectations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Job scope for SAP Basis in Ireland?

Hi everyone,

I have 8+ years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant, working on SAP administration, system installations, upgrades (SUM/SPAM), migrations (DMO), refreshes, certificate management, SSO/SAML, SolMan, Fiori, BTP/IAS, and BRIM environments. I have also worked extensively with SAP Convergent Charging (CC) and Convergent Mediation (CM), supporting billing and invoicing projects.

Most of my experience is in SAP support, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure-related activities rather than development.

I’m considering opportunities in Ireland and would like to understand the current demand and future scope for SAP Basis professionals with this background. How is the market for SAP Basis, especially in migration and upgrade projects?

Thanks in advance for your insights.

Ireland spouse visa

Hi everyone,

I currently live and work in Dublin on Stamp 4, and my wife will soon apply for an Ireland spouse visa from India after our marriage registration.

I just wanted to clarify the correct timeline/process:

Once we receive the official marriage certificate, should we first:

- get the marriage certificate apostilled

- get the applicant’s PCC and apostille it as well

and only after that:

- submit the online spouse visa application

- and book/attend the VFS appointment?

Or is it okay to submit the online application earlier while waiting for apostille/PCC, as long as all documents are ready by the appointment date?

Also, how long are people currently waiting for spouse visa decisions?

Would really appreciate recent experiences from anyone who went through this process recently. Thanks!

Ireland Spouse Visa Question

Hi everyone,

I currently live and work in Dublin on Stamp 4. My partner and I will officially register our marriage in about one month, and after receiving the marriage certificate, she will apply for an Ireland spouse visa.

I had a few questions:

  1. Is it okay to submit the online spouse visa application now, before the actual marriage date if the future marriage date is mentioned, and then attend the visa appointment after receiving the marriage certificate?

  2. What documents are usually required from:

- the sponsor in Ireland (me)

- the applicant spouse

  1. I’m currently seeing processing times of 6–12 months. Is this the normal situation right now, or just a temporary backlog?

Would really appreciate any recent experiences or advice. Thanks!
