Husband broke his clavicle today. Calling to schedule with ortho surgeon first thing tomorrow.

Does this look like it would heal without surgery?

Also, he has a trip planned to see out of state family, beginning this weekend. He’s hoping to get seen within the next couple of days before he has to decide whether to take the trip or not. Should I try harder to convince him to cancel it and stay home? Should he just see what the ortho says?

Edit to add , from the Xray findings at the ER: “comminuted mid shaft fracture… approximately one shaft width superior displacement… and superior apex angulation.”
