Watergate was still being discussed nearly constantly, and was shameful enough to darken the bicentennial. My school's administrators forced us students to attend lame, phony "celebrations" for appearance's sake. My senior high school bicentennial experiences were very annoying at the time, so three guesses how I feel about this year, a half century later. How do others remember the bicentennial & compare it to this year's celebration?

Twice recently, a grown mockingbird-sized bird was hunted and killed in my back yard oaks. I know because each time a large cluster of the prey's bigger feathers was left on the ground. I don't know what time of day it happened. I've repeatedly seen red-tailed hawks do this in Miami. What local small raptors are likely suspects here, maybe redtails, maybe a small breed of owl? Just curious to learn more about Roch ecology. TIA.

We have two Pella sliding glass doors that jam when opening or closing. Both have been lightly used and situated where they don't get direct rain or snow. Pella's quality of service is awful. Are there any local companies that know how to service Pella sliding glass doors? TIA
