Neighbor Shook Up

I was sitting in my living room watching football when I heard my neighbor yelling at someone. Usually a quiet block so I look out and see dude walking after someone from his yard that hops in a truck and drives off.

Stepped out to ask what's up and he tells me the dude started walking to his back yard with a bag and he yelled at him out his back door. Dude took off. Luckily he saw a license plate and said he was going to call it in.

What bugged him though was dude was walking up with a yellow grocery bag and he didn't see it in his hands when he went back to his truck and wasn't in his trash can. Dude's worried it was an animal or something.

Sooooo heads up around Six Mile, I guess?

Help Understanding Great Grandma's Nickname

My grandmother is the daughter a German woman who immigrated to America in the 1930s. As the youngest being raised in the 40s, she missed the window of learning German through local means (her mother wouldn't speak it often, the daily German paper in our city had been discontinued) and never thought much of it outside of remembering things her mother would say from time to time.

Because I took high school German classes, my grandmother will occasionally ask me what a phrase she suddenly remembered means. One thing she told me recently was that her mother would always refer to hefty babies as "she-knee-mock-er." I assume this would be spelt something like schienemacher and, given the love of compound words, assume a literal translation would be "rail maker."

Is this a reference to carpal tunnel? Or am I way off?

Shoutout Ben Feldman

And the Planet of the Tapes crew.

Dude did a killer set and hung out afterward to hear at least one guy good him suggestion on a joke, one guy ask for pictures while he wore his hat, and someone invite him to the MerryWeather.

Support venues so we get more great acts like him!

Tasso Ham

Chef found some Tasso ham (Comeaux's) in the fridge. He thinks it was ordered a month ago but it doesn't have an expiration/best by date on it so he's not serving it.

My question--well, the line's question--is if the stuff is still good. It's smoked and undoubtedly salted to death. But I'm not trying to miss shifts over a small pack.

Experience? Opinions? Thoughts for use?

Local Rapper Stories

I feel like there aren't enough posts about local rappers trying to break through.

I'm not interested in their music, though. I want to hear about the shenanigans you've encountered. I'll start with the story of a guy I used to produce tracks for.

Dude put a mixtape up on DatPiff and weeks later was convinced 3Pac had stole his flow.
