Independent Colleges FE-1 Course Rant
Is anyone else currently dealing with the shit show that is Independent Colleges? I am coming to the conclusion that it is actually just a scam.
We are now coming up on week 5 of the course, 6 weeks since they took payment and still no sign of the manuals. They warned us that there was a delay but said they would compensate by uploading the chapters on to Moodle - which was a lie apparently.
It took them 3 weeks to respond to a request for an update and they only responded with a "wrong email" it took me emailing every single email address I could get my hands on to get that far.
They then got back to me on the Monday of last week saying the manuals were being sent last week and would be with us this week. They then send out a general email yesterday saying they are being sent this week.
I have now sent emails harassing them to try go pick up today and apparently that was bullshit also, they still don't have the manuals, they will arrive Friday apparently.
At this rate they are just not providing what was paid for, they have attempted to fob me off by saying that we are getting the lecture slides, but they are barebones and some of the lecturers are just running through the manuals, which is useless considering we don't have access to them. It has rendered the homework facility redundant as trying to build a response without the manual to pad is an idiots game. I could go dig up the actual cases, but the lecturers don't even properly cite the cases so trying to find them is going to take more time.
These courses are supposed to save time, but it is fast becoming a full time job to stage manage them into providing basic information about the service they have charged me for.
Anyone else ready to go flip a table?
