How are people actually making friends as adults?

Making friends as an adult is hard.
I keep seeing people say they want more friends but don’t know where to meet them, so I’m trying a few low-pressure events around Syracuse: Friendship Fest, Bad Art & Breakfast Social.
The goal is simple: give people something easy to do so starting a conversation doesn’t feel awkward.
What has actually helped you meet people as an adult?

Trying to find more things to do that don’t revolve around drinking… these looked pretty fun

Lunar Art Events are hosting these

I keep seeing people ask what’s going on around Syracuse, so I figured I’d share these.

July 2: Dogs Day Out Social (Maxwell’s, 4-7 PM)
Dog-friendly social $8
July 10: Kawaii Mini Market (86 Cafe, 5-8 PM)
Free, Cute local vendors and activities, Coffee & treats

July 13: Bad Art & Breakfast Social (Milano Bean Cafe, 6-8 PM)
Intentionally makes terrible art while eating breakfast food.
$12

July 26: Self Care Sunday Market (Downtown, 12-4 PM)
Free, Local artists, Wellness & self-care activities

Kind of refreshing seeing events that aren’t just another beer festival. Syracuse has been getting a lot better at these smaller community events.
