I think I’ve built enough. Now I just need someone to give me a shot.

I’ve spent the last year building.

Not because someone told me to. Not because it was part of a university assignment. I just genuinely enjoy building AI systems and seeing an idea become something people can actually use.

I’m a fresher based in Bangalore with an MCA specializing in AI and ML, and over the past year I’ve found myself going deeper into LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, multimodal AI, and full stack AI development.

Some of the things I’ve worked on include:

• A RAG chatbot using LangChain, FAISS, and local LLMs.
• Multimodal computer vision work, including a dog emotion recognition system.
• Prompt engineering and dataset automation during my current internship.
• Building a Progressive Web App for my current team that is actively being developed.
• Modifying and automating workflows using Runner to streamline cold email outreach to founders and hiring managers.
• Prototyping long term memory systems for AI agents because I find that space incredibly interesting.

The thing that excites me most isn’t training another model. It’s building complete AI products that people can actually use.

I’m the kind of person who’ll spend an entire weekend trying to make an agent a little smarter or redesign a workflow because one extra click feels unnecessary.

The last few months haven’t been easy. I’ve applied to hundreds of roles, interviewed with startups, reached final rounds, collected more rejections than I’d like to admit, and kept building anyway. Every rejection became another reason to learn something new.

I’m looking for opportunities where I can contribute from day one while continuing to learn from engineers who are building ambitious AI products.

If your team is hiring for AI Engineer, ML Engineer, Applied AI, GenAI, or Full Stack AI roles, especially around LLMs, RAG, agents, multimodal systems, or AI products, I’d genuinely love to talk.

I’m happy to share my GitHub, LinkedIn, resume, and demos with anyone who’s interested.

Thanks for reading. Even if you’re not hiring, I’d love to connect with people who are just as obsessed with building AI as I am.

One of those mind breaking interview

So recently I was interviewing for a ML engineer role at a US based startup, it was remote work and pay was good for a fresher.

So I applied for the same role a year and half back and at that time the process was;

-> Resume Shortlist
-> Video Interview
-> Preliminary Round
-> Second Round
-> NDA Signing
-> VP Round ( DSA)

Last time around I went till DSA, VP round and was eliminated there,

This whole process took 2 months last time and was very heartening getting eliminated especially after I was rated 7/10 in the interview (I asked after interview how would they rate me so that I can improve)

Now coming back, I saw the opening again and applied,

This time around rounds were in this order;

-> Resume Shortlist
-> Video Interview
-> Preliminary Round ( I mentioned in this that i interviewed for the same role year and half back and that I’m following their work and all that)
-> NDA ( yeah I was directly asked to sign the NDA)
-> CEO Round.

This time around they moved fast and I took that as a positive sign, like Preliminary round on Wednesday NDA on Friday and Monday I got a mail for Executive Round (CEO) scheduled on Wednesday.

Now it’s a startup of 20 people, so obviously when going to ceo round I was expecting things to close there,

The conversation with the ceo was fun honestly, we talked about what I can do, we talked about ai and how it’s being used, and all those for good 15-20 mins, after which he said you’ll get the response from our team and he has to take other calls as well;

Just 5-10 mins after this, I got a mail that they want to take my one coding round as well to which I agreed and booked the first available slot for the interview.

This all happened on Wednesday and on Thursday morning I got Mail from CEO stating there was some miscommunication between him and hiring executive and that they are not moving ahead with me.

This round one of those most heart breaking interview going soo ahead and ending up with nothing, and I don’t get their process as well, it felt like they were just adding process into process.

After this one interview, it’s been about 2 weeks since then and I don’t even feel like applying to jobs cause of that how far ahead I went it just a step away and everything crumbled again.

I’m genuinely tired now

I’m a 2025 Masters grad in Bangalore, and I’m genuinely tried and exhausted now, have been applying to jobs like crazy, 1500+ applications in the past 1.5year, and still nothing, my friends are all placed and working, and here I’m still looking and looking, there are times when I had soo hope but now it’s all gone, recently went till executive round for a startup and after executive round they say there’s some mistake and they can’t move with me, Ive applied Ive tried, I did every freaking thing I could but now, it all feels useless and I’m exhausted, people often say that there’s something good for you, but what use is the good thing for me when I’m not even here to take it? What good would it bring to me when I’m mentally dead and physically exhausted? What good would it bring me, when I’m nothing? My friends are taking about salary, changing jobs and here I’m still struggling to find even one, I tried my best, I did more then I could, I understood, made projects, got new skills, but it’s all useless, and I don’t know for how long I can go on, so I genuinely need advice what can I even do? I tried cracking DSA, many times, but never could, switched to AIML and I love aiml now, I made projects, I understood things, but it’s all useless as I feel now.

I’ll be honest and straight up, I’m a 2025 grad, have been making projects around GenAI, DSA and code writing was never my thing and I found GenAI to be especially interesting.

Got hired as an intern at a startup (hobby project) as full stack Dev, and honestly I feel stuck here, cannot move out since I don’t have anything else (no job, no internship nothing).

Now I’m trying to pivot into ai research engineer, Ive been especially interested and piqued by agentic ai, have few of my own agentic ai memory idea and want to work at a startup that challenges me, I don’t mind working 12hrs a day given I’m improving,

I’m still learning, trying to understand LLM Evals, I use ai to code, but I understand, I think critically instead of creatively.

I may make mistakes, but I’ll own upto them, I’ll improve and I’ll get better,

If any startup’s feel they have a place for someone like me, DMs are open, onsite in Bangalore(atleast for next 2-3 years due to family requirements) and remote from anywhere in the world, time zones don’t matter, I’ll work and can manage.

And honestly I’d love to have a chat with someone and learn more about their startup’s it’s something I’m very interested in.

Thanks!
