Add new part of deck or reinforce existing?

We bought a 7x7 hot tub and have gotten two quotes for deck options. One would be reinforcing under half of our existing deck to support hot tub the benefit there would be the proximity to back door and we could use existing pergola. Second option is adding a lower deck adjacent to existing deck in a platform style like 12x12 and adding a pergola there but itd be a bit further away from door. Thoughts? In NC

Deck reinforcement cost

For those that have hired someone to reinforce an existing wooden deck for hot tub what is ballpark range for that? I know it varies on a lot of factors we are in NC and deck was built in 90s. Thanks!

Hot tub placement recommendations

In the brainstorm phase for a backyard hot tub project and looking for feedback on placement, concrete slab versus other suggestions, etc. i dont think the deck can hold the weight its wood and not new. Located in NC
