Teaching offer letter - should I go for it?

Teaching offer letter - should I go for it?

Just got an offer letter to teach in Shanghai for 22k pretax and I'm hoping for feedback. I know I won't be saving crazy amounts of cash but for a 23 year old with no teaching experience I feel like its halfway decent. I'm mostly wondering if anyone has any experience with this agency and if the section about breach of contract resulting in a fine is legal. I'm turning down an offer in Wuhan with the same agency for the same pay but that also give me a month total of vacation time and would also love someone to weigh in on if that's the wrong move. TYIA!!!

Who took all the bathtubs?????

Moving to Shanghai in a few months and started the apartment hunt early. I went into this knowing about China's predilection for wet-room style bathrooms (which as a mom I get, lower water bill and way less worry about someone splashing about), but I figured that an international city I might be able to find a couple apartments with the occasional Western amenities like when I lived in Vietnam. To my surprise I've found maybe 3 apartments that we liked in my area within my budget that even have a closed shower and quite literally zero bathtubs. It's not a huge deal but I'd love a soak for my joints every now and then without having to hit the spas. I'll take agents, apartment names, leads on where you heard a lot of water running through your pipes. Are there any buildings in SH that have a tub?

EDIT: since folks were asking, we are looking for a 2 bed under 18k, near a metro station but not too picky about neighborhood

Is it too late to become an ESL teacher?

Question for fellow ESL teacher, is it too late to start talking to recruiters about positions for the first week of August? I have my docs (still waiting for my FBI check to get apostilled but that's about it) but I'm wondering about work permits and getting offers. How long did it take you to go from reaching out to securing a job?
