Steam Frame vs. HP Reverb G2 Review on YouTube

Hi everybody! Got lucky in the lottery, lucky with shipping and got my Frame a few days ago. I thought that now I can send my HP Reverb G2 into retirement - but I am not sure about that. I have a YouTube channel called uradioscreen, which is mainly for movie, series and games reviews. But because the Frame and my old Reverb G2 also have screens, I made an exeption and did a comparison of the two. If you want, have a look :-) It is in german tough. But subtitles and YouTubes AI spoken language is available in english. Soon is now ;-)

Hermes does not know its own Cron Output in WhatsApp

Hi everybody - hope someone has a hint for me :)

I want Hermes Agent to help me doing Social Media Posts for my YouTube channel.

I have Postiz setup locally with various social media channels connected.

I have SearXNG installed locally, so Hermes can use it for picture search and save them.

What works is, I ask Hermes in WhatsApp to get the latest news about movies and do the following:

a) make a Social Media Posting draft text

b) find a picture that fits the news

c) show both in WhatsApp and let me approve it

d) Post it on Social Media over Postiz

So far so good.

Now I wanted to schedule this stuff. I let Hermes create some Cron Jobs for each day (3 in the morning, 3 at noon, 3 at night) where he should do the same thing: find a news, prepare a text, find a picture and let me approve it in WhatsApp.

The Cron Jobs are running, the output is posted in WhatsApp. But when I say "OK, post it", Hermes does not know what I am talking about. It seems that the result / output of the Cron Job is not in Hermes session memory, though it is posted in WhatsApp.

So: How can I make Hermes aware of the text and the picture in WhatsApp from the Cron Job output? If he does not know, what I am talking about, I cannot check the social media drafts before posting.

Thx!

Chris

Image search in web and save jpg for later use?

Hi everybody! Switched from Openclaw to Hermes-Agent and looking good so far. One issue I am running into at the moment is:

Searching for pictures online and save them locally for later use.

Hermes did try a lot but was not able to succeed. web_search & web_fetch did not work. In the end he built a skill based on Wikimedia Commons API, which worked basically, but the images I got were not good enough.

Hermes now suggested to install Firecrawl MCP locally and use that with an API Key to search for pictures and save them locally. Is that really necessary? At the moment I am using Firecrawl as search engine in Hermes Agent.

How do you accomplish such tasks? How do you download pictures searched for in the net? Do I really need to install Firecrawl MCP?

thx,

Chris
