I am posting here to put feelers out because I cannot be the only one thinking this... WE NEED A TALLADEGA NIGHTS 2. Let's look at the fact.

1. the script is written. Why waste a perfectly good movie?
2. I don't think there's an actual beef between Will Ferrell and John C Reilly, no? Plus let's be honest, Reilly was absolutely perfect for that Jerry Buss role. I know egos were hurt, but that was a perfect casting looking back at it...and the show got cancelled so that should help with not getting the role (can always tell himself if it was him the show would have survived).
3. Christopher Nolan has mentioned before the original is one of his favourite comedies. So we have a perfect replacement director for Adam McCay. I mean it would be amazing to have him and Ferrell collaborate again, but if they're not going to work together Nolan is a perfect suitor because....
4. Then we could get the whole thing filmed in IMAX. The car race shots would look AMAZING. NASCAR 3D: the IMAX Experience meets Talladega Nights. The perfect marriage we never knew we needed. But now that the words have entered your eyes they feel like they've been laying dormant in your brain since the moment you were born, desperately waiting for the seed to be sown; I know the feeling.

Possible titles could be "Talladega Nights 2: Days of Thunder", "Daytona Days: A Talladega Nights Sequel", "Talladega Nights 2: the Talladega Jinx"
