Has anyone here been to Abisko or Abisko National Park?

I’m planning a trip and would like to camp there. How is it for camping? Are there good spots near the main route?

I’m traveling by hitchhiking, so I’d prefer not to go too far off the main roads. Is there anywhere else in Sweden that has a similar Arctic, open mountain landscape but is closer to Stockholm and easier to reach without making a big detour?
