Does anyone know how to make this Cambodian herbal soup?
Hi everyone!
I recently visited Siem Reap, and had an amazing Cambodian herbal soup at a place called Summer Coffee and Bakery កាហ្វេ សាំមើ. My friends and I absolutely loved it, and
I’d really love to learn how to make it at home, but I have no idea what the exact recipe is.
Here are the ingredients I remember:
Loofah
Lotus root
Pumpkin
Mushrooms
Garlic
Chili
Coriander？
Fish or chicken (I think you could choose either one)
Another type of leafy vegetable that had a very distinctive, fresh, fragrant aroma. I don’t know what it’s called😆
The soup had a wonderful herbal fragrance and was incredibly delicious. I’m especially curious about the herbs and seasonings used to make the broth.
Does anyone recognize this dish or know how it’s traditionally prepared?
