And I mean I kind of get it in judicial circles they let you retire with full benefits and pension even if you get caught with crores.

But imagine this scenario in private sector. You get caught stealing from the company account and they keep you on half pay for 5 years after that call you back with full benefits ki dekho wapas chori mat karna.

This person was a 2003 batch IAS.

5 years into her service she showed everyone her IAS credentials by engaging in graft. She was suspended briefly but return to service as inquiry was being conducted.

It took 18 more years for the inquiry to finish and for her to be dismissed from service. No criminal charges, only dismissed from service and not barred from future government employment.

18 years in which this traitor to the public occupied a prestigious position of a civil 'servant', while the public funded her lavish pay and perks.

The biggest issue this country faces today is the corrupt, incompetent and shameless bureaucrats that riddle the system like termites, consuming it from within while the common people suffer.
