Join our monthly Chongqing Bar Crawl for International Visitors

After an amazing turnout at our last event, we’re excited to do it again on Friday, July 31st.

If you’re traveling to Chongqing, living here as an expat, or simply a local looking to meet people from around the world, come join us for a relaxed evening of drinks, conversations, and exploring the city’s nightlife together.

This time we’ll be meeting at Soloist 独奏, a beautiful café with a French-style courtyard that transforms into a bar in the evening. We’ll start there before heading out to a few more bars and clubs later in the night.

📍 Meeting Point: Soloist 独奏 (Mountain City Alley)
🗓 Date: Friday, July 31
🕗 Time: 8:00 PM
🍽 Optional dinner from 7:00 PM

The event is free to join. We simply ask everyone to order at least one drink to support our host venue.

Whether you’re coming with friends or showing up solo, don’t worry. Most people arrive not knowing anyone, and that’s exactly what this event is for.

Throwback to our last Chongqing Bar Crawl. Ready for the next one?

We started hosting a free bar crawl in Chongqing to help solo travelers meet each other.
It was one of those nights where people arrived not knowing anyone and left planning breakfast together the next morning.
Seeing people from all over the world become friends in a city that many had never even heard of is honestly one of the coolest parts of what we do.
We’re doing it again on Friday, July 31. If you’re visiting Chongqing and want to experience the city’s nightlife while meeting fellow travelers, you’re more than welcome to join us
More details will be posted soon.
Cheers!

Organizing Another Chongqing Bar Crawl on June 28!

Hey everyone, it’s Jackson again!

We’re bringing back our summer Bar Crawl next week on Sunday, June 28.

This event is for international travelers, expats, locals, and anyone visiting Chongqing who wants to meet new people, explore the city after dark, and connect with others who are here at the same time. If you’re in town, feel free to join us!

You’ll get to meet other travelers, expats living in Chongqing, and locals who are happy to connect with visitors. I’ll also be there personally, so I’m happy to share travel tips, answer questions, and help you avoid rookie mistakes while exploring the city. You can also meet others who might want to join group activities, experiences, or just hang out during their time in Chongqing.

A bit about me and why I’m organizing this:

Some of you might know me from social media as Journey of Jackson, where I create Chongqing travel content for international audiences. Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to help introduce my hometown to people around the world and be involved in visits from creators and public figures including IShowSpeed, Khaby Lame, Mark Wiens, and Joshua Weissman.

These days, I run a small local travel agency in Chongqing. While managing tours are my main business, I also believe Chongqing needs more spaces where travelers and locals can meet naturally, break the language barrier, and enjoy the city together. That’s the real reason I want to keep doing these Bar Crawls.

Location & Time

📍 Location: Soloist (独奏公司)
山城巷80号仁爱堂
80 French Charity Church, Mountain City Alley

🕗 Time: Sunday, June 28, 8:00 PM
You can also come at 7:00 PM if you’d like to join us for an early dinner session.

We usually pick historic or unique local landmarks as our meeting points, so you’re not just going to a random commercial bar you could find anywhere else. You’ll get to see a more local and meaningful side of Chongqing too.

The event is free to join. Please sign up through the form in my comment or DM me, so I can keep track of how many people are coming and manage the group size. You’ll also be able to see who else is joining.

We’re planning to make this a monthly event, or hopefully even more frequent, so more travelers can join no matter when they visit Chongqing.

See you on June 28, or at the next one!
