Better than the previous

I’m still seeing some things that I can improve on. Being critical of my own work is why continuing to get better

Encountered some aspects I’d like to improve on

My vertical curves need to be more vertical. And also the minuscule r’s and s’s are fun. I nailed the r in Street though and that’s the model ill shoot for going forward

This is now my natural, everyday hand

Wanted to test my new TR and it’s lovely. I wish these A4’s were glue-bound instead of loose

Copperplate to start the day

I like where this is going. A little more practice and I’ll be producing impeccable engrossers script

I’m a bit stuck but I like where this is going…

I’m still practicing pointed pen but I’m also brushing up some broad edge stuff. I sketched the filigree in with a pencil.

This is my best copperplate

I incorporated a few things into my script which has definitely helped. So my muscle memory from my fp penmanship was affecting my pointed pen work so I’m slowing down into a different rhythm which is working so I see myself improving.

Got back up to do this.

It’s like the itch that I had to scratch haha. Literally got back out of bed to do this. I had to capture the vision in my head.

Back to the basics…

As some may or may not know, I’ve been struggling with my Spencerian and getting the Spencerian “look”. My “break” was to be long but I was going through some resources and happened across some already-printed guides and figured I’d try it writing directly on the printed side, usually when I use guides I overlay a blank paper on a printer guide and use a light box if necessary. I’m the early days this how I used to do it. I’ll stick with this for a cuppa days. Those old methods are so reliable.
