I made modular doors for my dungeon tiles

I posted before in r/terrainbuilding, but was unable to post video there to show these in action.

I know it is even a thing now to print functional doors in place that open and close with hinges, but I never liked those. I want to fit a mini in the archway of the doorway.

And with most people’s slide-in doors, they didn’t seem practical as how do you grip it to pull out the door? My solution is to utilize the arc of the doorway, it’s easy to grab the door and just pull it out.

These are interchangeable so I can swap in a gate where there was a door or vise versa.

I made dungeon tiles and modular doors

I combined some ideas from Wylock and BMC and made my own XPS-foam dungeons tiles like which connect using chipboard connectors.

But then I also wanted the doors to connect the same way and be able to open and close them and use either doors or gates, so I made the doors as just a frame where you can slot in the door or gates from the top. The arch makes it easy to grab the door and pull it out.

I also made the grid 32mm in size as I want larger minis to fit the grid.

I made a few 2x2, 4x4 and 6x6 tiles and plan to add a few 1x2 tiles as well as it helps when the doors offset the grid.
