Just sowed these seeds in March no idea if I’ll be able to repeat this or I was just lucky. Tried a bunch of variety but the Hungarian poppy is the only one that seems to like my yard -it turned up in the most random spots… here it is thriving on a tiny strip of land between my drive way and those fence.
2nd year bonica and rabbits got to her even though I put chicken wire and leaves around her ( not high enough lesson learned) she just keeps marching on!
Next is Eden also surprising vigorous in her second year! Eden it’s in flower that often but she’s so gorgeous it’s forgiven.
Planted her this spring in April barre root from David Austin. I’m making a new back bed with two lark ascending and I’m hoping they will fill out and have the height as described. All my roses made it from last year ( bonica, quietness and two Eden’s) I’m hoping these will also turn out to be hardy!
