Sigh…
Should’ve known better. A last minute booking, 1 night, for a group of 5 (max we allow). The profile was local. Booker stated that their family would enjoy a getaway. Didn’t think much of it because we’re in the suburbs and don’t typically have issues with parties.
Well, the “family” arrived in 5 separate Ubers and 1 car between 7pm-midnight. They then proceeded to play loud music and yell. We’re in a townhouse with an HOA, so I got a message about noise almost immediately. They also door dashed food multiple times until 1 am.
I have to give them credit because when I messaged them about the noise, they were polite and did quiet down. My issue is that there were strange cars coming and going all night. It’s a quiet neighborhood, on a dead end street, with young families and I am keenly aware of how a rowdy Airbnb negatively impacts the neighbors. I’ll be avoiding this type of booking from now on.
