Whats the future looking like for Occupational Therapists in the UK?

For the next generation of OTs coming in to the profession what opportunities, roles and areas do you think Occupational Therapists will see demand in and growth from?

Any Occupational Therapists / other Allied Health Professions who have gone on to become HENRYS?

Curious if anyone here started as Occupational Therapists or other allied health professions and later found positions that paid high earnings.

Outside the NHS where can Occupational Therapists make the best of their career financially.

Currently a 4th year student, like everyone else I'm quite concerned about the cost of living now and going forward. I'm not in OT to be a rich person or motivated by it, however I'm just curious to know long term once I've gained experience what areas of Occupational Therapy could I could specialise in or progress to, to boost my earning potential.

I have seen so far medico legal and case management seek experienced Occupational Therapists who are knowledgeable in their area of expertise.

Entrepreneurial / private business OT career success stories

Curious to hear of any success stories from Occupational Therapists on reddit who have built a successful career as an OT.

I have seen on linkedin that many OTs have built successful careers outside the NHS and use their OT skills in case management, medico legal etc, private practice, moved abroad etc.

Any advice for a young keen ambitious OT student?
