Muv Luv Re:Alternative (The pilot episode)
I will leave a small pilot story translated into English, and some words may lose their original meaning. I can also provide you with the original Russian version if you are not satisfied with the translation. I would also like to hear your feedback on the project, and you may be able to contribute to it. I am particularly interested in exploring the stories of joint operations with other countries. I am always open to dialogue in private messages.
P.S This is my first experience in writing stories.

Arc: Joint Exercise
Part 1: Duel.
Summer of 2000. Air Base No. 53.
The base was calm, however, it did not last long. Soon, three heavy transport aircraft An-225 Mriya, each carrying two TSF F-15E, landed on the territory of the base. Since the USSR had been cooperating with the UN since the 1990s, it was decided to hold a joint military exercise in Kamchatka.
The exercise program included tactical training for both sides, followed by training matches in educational simulators, as well as team battles against Beta, and in the final stage, pilots were immersed in hell. The trained recruits and seasoned soldiers were tasked with fighting Beta in real combat. These exercises often resulted in casualties, showcasing the harsh realities of natural selection.
Although the situation forced humanity to unite in order to repel their common enemy, other nations still harbored mistrust and even hatred towards each other.
After setting up the TSF in the hangars, a command was issued for lunch. Pilots of various nationalities approached the local Soviet cuisine and took their seats. Some grimaced and winced, while others enjoyed their meals and even requested seconds. The situation began to escalate sharply when the Americans began to make not particularly flattering statements about one young commander, Andrei Lebedev, who had managed to visit many battlefields, both as a test pilot and to experience considerable pain.
—Hey, what did you say, come on, let's have a laugh together." — It sounded from the mouth of a young officer, albeit in broken, but in English.
— You heard something, sit and eat your stew further. — the American felt completely unpunished and was quite insolent, which greatly irritated the Soviet recruits.
— And your TSFs are complete junk, we've had good and highly maneuverable TSFs for a long time!
— I'll show you what my "junk" is capable of with my Su-27SM, you'll see, I'll grind you into dust in a training duel!
Immediately, the commanders called everyone to their feet and gave the command to "finish eating," after which the commanders of both sides apologized to each other. Lieutenant Andrey Lebedev was personally acquainted with the commander of the UN unit, James Smith, and they had fought together to defend the Yukon base in 1998.
After lunch and tactical training, there was a formation in the training building, which contained several capsules containing electronics and various sensors that simulated the TSF cockpit.
Pavel Vorozheikin took his place and hurried to set up his Su-27SM to show the upstart American a thing or two.
In the training simulation, the TSF took their positions and prepared their weapons. On command, both pilots took to the skies in their fighter jets and began the duel. The commanders watched in silence, ensuring that the match was conducted fairly. For a long time, the American pilot attempted to hit his opponent with his rifle, but the Su-27SM skillfully dodged the enemy fire, challenging the American to engage in close combat. The F-15E pulled out a knife and prepared to attack, but the Su-27SM had already attacked him.
"Is that all you're capable of? The fun is just beginning!"
The Su-27SM began to quickly strike at his opponent. The F-15E struggled to defend himself, but continued to fight until his knife was knocked out of his hand by the TSF's manipulators, leaving him completely unarmed. Soon, the final blow was struck on the cockpit, and the Strike Eagle crashed to the ground with a loud thud.
"One more word against my commander, and the next fight will take place outside the training simulator, got it?"
The duel ended, and it showed the American that he should not underestimate his opponent's potential.
To be continued.
