Hey everyone! just wanted to let yall know that there are still two days left until the deadline for submissions hits. If I counted right, the last time I had checked there were around 20+ talents submitted for the contest which is still crazy to me. I look forward to going through these. As for the judges, there is obviously myself. But I don't think it's fair for it to just be me, so if possible I'd like one or two others to weigh in (if I go back I believe at least three people mentioned that they are willing to help so if I can find them i'll DM on here). I already have a process in mind when it comes to starting the judging process.

Hey yall! Just wanted to thank you all again for making this little event happen. I lowkey was not expecting the amount of submissions that were turned in. And there’s still 2 and a half weeks left!

Speaking of, Now that we are in midway towards the deadline, i’m going to carve out sometime to start really diving into all the Talents that yall have made. Just want to remind everyone that this is all for fun and games (…and a tad bit of s4 cope lol).

Thanks again to the mods for hosting this with/for me. And maybe if this goes well we can have another down the road (i’ve had multiple in mind when i was thinking about starting this one in fact).

As for judging them, one or two helpers actually wouldn’t hurt. Preferably people that haven’t submitted a talent, but i have a work around for that if it comes down to it.

Hey yall! Here is the info for a little fan talent contest i wanna start. Deadline is August 14th, message me for any questions.

Rules

1. Must be a talent. No titan or anything flavored to be of the sort will be looked at.
2. Two Talent Types maximum.
3. This is about Creativity, not power.
4. No AI
5. This is based on the Talent itself, anything else is considered supplementary material and will only be considered in the case of a need for tiebreakers.
6. HAVE FUN!

7. Only one submission. Post it as a comment under this post. It can either be typed up here or in a google doc (just make sure it can be shared/viewed publicly). Once you’ve submitted you can make up to 2 major changes, but after that you cannot change it further outside of cosmetic and grammatical fixes

Criteria

As this is a creative showcase more than anything, here are the rough things I will be taking a look at and how I will be judging them:

Talent Concept -> 1 - 10 Points. The overall idea of your talent. the more unique the better. Desciptive text can also fit here as even if you have a more basic sounding talent, describing it in a cool fashion can still earn you points here.

Type Description -> 1 - 10 Points. How well does your talent actually fit into the types that you mentioned.

Type Choice -> 1 - 3 Points. Picking more underratted or underutilized talents can earn you some points here.

Less is More - 1 - 10 Points. While it may be easy to make acrazy bombastic power that can just one tap people by blinking, it's in my opinion even better to make more grounded or subdued talents that can be more versatile or just plain cool to see

While I encourage you to make a new talent for this, Any talent you have made can work here. As long as it follows the rules. Even if it's a talent that you have posted in this sub.

I’ve seen a couple Fan Talents in here and in the discord and was wondering if yall would be down for a contest or competition of sorts.

At the moment I’m thinking of a pure creative showcase, but i’ve also been toying around with a tournament idea. Right now i have no real rules established since this post is more me putting out vibes.

EDIT: Due to my very odd sleep schedule leaving me with far too much energy to sleep, I ended up drafting the rules for the contest. I've gotten most of them written down but I'm blanking on a convenient way of collecting all the submissions, if anyone has ideas, let me know!
