I can't decide whether or not i want an omnithrottle for the left hand.

If i buy the CDT-AEROMAX-LZ (as pictured), will i be able to remove the Z and use it as a regular joystick?

I read somewhere that these Aeromaxes are mounted to the base, but in the official video at 0:16 seconds they kind of plug into the Z mount and the Z mount plugs into the base. And i can see 3 or 4 small screws that would secure them in place.

I just could not see any wiring in that video because it was digitally rendered.
