Next week we are arriving in Anchorage a couple of days ahead of our cruise. We had transport from the airport directly to Seward booked with the Alaska Bus Company but they just cancelled it. We land around 1pm and have to check in at our hotel by 7pm. Anyone got any other suggestions? I have an uber reservation right now but concerned no driver will actually take that 1 way trip. Other private transfers are double/triple the cost of our original transport. Would prefer to be picked up at the airport but not a requirement.

I didn’t think I would be going back to Alaska so soon after doing a land tour with Holland last year but saw a pretty good deal on Celebrity Summit for late August and took it. This will be our first Celebrity cruise. On our last Alaskan cruise winds prevented us from going to Ketchikan so hopefully we make it this time. The only other new stop will be Icy straight.

How’s the wildlife in August. I went in May which was a bit early for some things if I remember correctly. Any special call outs for the Summit?
