Help to practice face-to-face in Cornwall

Dyth Da! I'll be moving to Cornwall next month and am very interested in learning Cornish and using it as much as possible on my daily life. I'll be located right in between Truro and St. Austell - does anyone have any recommendations on how to meet Cornish speakers and practice live, maybe face-to-face meetups in the area?

Also, if I try practicing words or phrases around Truro, what is the likelihood of them being understood? Very excited about this but don't want to come across as conceited to the average Cornish.

Meur ras in advance!
