D7 Visa with a fixed-term annuity: Will a 3-year or 5-year term actually get approved?

I've spent about a year researching to apply for a D7 Visa using a fixed-term annuity. I haven't been able to get a clear answer how many years are required for the term of the annuity. My plan is to get a 3-year or a 5-year annuity for passive income, then buy another annuity to renew at the end of that term. But it is not clear to me if approval is possible for these time lengths.

Can anyone tell me if they’ve been approved for the D7 with an annuity and what the term was? FYI I'm in my 30s and American so decades away from receiving social security.
