Compression socks hurting ankles

I think that my compression socks are putting pressure on the front of my ankle sometimes which is causing pain when I remove them. I wore them for 2 days and now I have what feels like a sprain on one side. The socks feel good otherwise. Is this a sign that tje compression level is too high? The lower compression doesn’t seem to help at all with my dysautonomia. I am currently wearing the 20-30 mmhg toe-less from vim and vigor. Also I get the same pain in the front of my ankle occasionally for no apparent reason.

Cooling options away from home

We had a death in the family and are staying with my FIL for a few days. They like to keep the house HOT and my heat intolerance is gnarly (and I can’t sweat) I typically have to walk around with ice packs and a portable fan to stay upright.

The idea of spending the night gives me angst as I get extra hot at night. my spouse is going to work on getting the thermostat down for me and we are bringing my fan. Any other ideas? Anyone have luck with cooling pillows that work? My cooling sheets are meh.

I know w that staying at a hotel is an option but we really want to be with family right now. I’ll ob go that route if it necessary.

EDIT- Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of these ideas and for sharing your spoons with me. Navigating the emotional labor of trying to avoid a flare while grieving has been just too much lately. Everyone’s kindness and thoughtfulness has helped eased that burden just a bit. Thank you.

Atrophic scars?

I had top surgery 7 months ago. I’ve been doing all the things for scar care (silicone gel, scar massage…) but it still feels like my scars look different from the other scars I’ve seen. I couldn’t put my finger on it until I started my eds diagnosis journey and noticed pictures of atrophic scars that kinda look like mine.

I’m really really good at gaslighting myself so I wanted to share with others. Do these look atrophic to you? I have a few spots the scabs fell off early and they are bumpy and raised but otherwise they are smooth. I think the ridges are more apparent in certain lighting and angles but again is it all in my head?

For context I have MCAS and possibly POTS.

Maintaining larger plots zone 7b

How in the world do people maintain larger meadows? We paid to install a native woodland meadow in the back portion of our property. It’s a combination of both plugs and seeds. the space is no more than .25 acres but boy is it a lot to maintain (especially given all the pressure from the invasives from the woods behind us).

We are in year 1 of the project and it was filled with garlic mustard and stilt grass. I ended up paying to have it weeded because my chronic illness has been pretty active the last few months and couldn’t keep up. Now I’m feeling overwhelmed and frustrated that I’ll constantly have to pay to upkeep it. Clearly I didn’t do enough research before diving into this. I was convinced it would be low maintenance.

Will this get easier? I’m thinking of getting one of those grandpa’s weeders to help with my joints. Any other tips/suggestions?

Plant ID zone 7b southwest PA

seek says this is common motherwort but I don’t trust the app as it swears my black walnut saplings are tree of heaven. any guesses? Ive run out of free trials with iNaturalist (I find their info to be more reliable).
