SteamOS Color Banding Issues
EDIT: I believe the Force Composite option does solve this issue after all, I tried changing it before starting a game and now it does not have the crazy banding seen in the photo. Thanks for the help everyone!
Hey everyone. I just put a 9070 XT into my PC and installed SteamOS on it. It is amazing so far. A few years ago I could only dream of PC gaming in my living room without Windows. But I have one issue I can’t seem to solve. There’s pretty bad color banding happening. I have tried “Force Composite” in the developer options and it didn’t seem to affect anything. I’ve tried different resolutions - 1920x1080@60, 2560x1440@120 (my preferred setting), and 4k@60 as well. I also tried getting a ugreen DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and using that. I’ve tried plugging it directly into my LG TV as well as into a Philips Hue Sync box (preferred because it handles CEC on wake without any fuss).
Any ideas on how I can get rid of this color banding?
