My appointment has been cancelled

I found a large lump in my breast about a month ago and have also been experiencing pain and nipple changes. Went to my GP who did an urgent referral to the hospital- the appointment was scheduled for tomorrow. To be honest I’ve been counting down the days just so I can get it over and done with. I’d like to know what I’m dealing with- is it something or nothing!? I feel like either way atleast I’ll be clearer on next steps and not in this ‘waiting room’ period.

Anyway, I have just now received a message from the hospital stating ‘unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we have cancelled your appointment for tomorrow, we will be in contact in due course with a new one’. There’s no indication of when that will be, whether it will be days or weeks…..

I feel frustrated and upset! Anyone else had this happen with the NHS?

Waiting for my appointment…

Hey, I found a large, firm lump in my breast 2 weeks ago and saw my GP yesterday who confirmed it’s about 4-5cm. I’ve been put on the NHS 2 week pathway and have an appointment on the 20th August for further tests (assuming a mammogram at this stage). I’ve been have some pain in that breast, and today it’s become like a sharp stabbing sensation and my nipple is drooping a bit in comparison to the other side. I’m just worrying now as it feels like I’m noticing something new every day. I originally thought that pain wasn’t a sign of bc, however after reading about people’s personal stories it clearly can be. I’m not sure what I’m after with this post, maybe just wanted to share with people who understand! It’s going to be a long couple of weeks.
