Looking for the most touch-starved MCs
I’m looking for recommendations where one (or both!) of the MCs is majorly starving for touch or affection.
To clarify- I’m not looking for characters who are touch-averse or touch-phobic, I’m more talking about the loneliest of the lonely who haven’t had access to gentleness, caring, or love in a long time.
Maybe this is because they are the town pariah, or the black sheep of their family. Maybe they are grieving, or processing trauma. They could have anxiety or neurodivergence. They could be disfigured, or have a high maintenance illness or disability. Maybe they are the isolated lighthouse keeper on a remote island, I don’t know. Whatever the backstory, it has resulted in desperate loneliness and touch starvation.
Hard nos are paranormal, fantasy, omegaverse and dark romance, but Im willing to go there if it’s exceptionally well-written.
