After years of collecting and months of building, my collection is complete. All samples are in pure, elemental form (that can be). Aside from Tc, I don’t plan on getting the others I’m missing, not worth the money IMO. I’ll try to post some more individual samples later on, but for now, here the full table :)
Picked up my first clock today! Was hard finding one small enough to fit in the 3x3inch box, but this one fit nicely. It’s also low radiation and looks cool so no complaints on it :)
Really cool looking piece, so I thought id share it.
Thanks to u/_*INSANE_MEMBRANE_*for hooking me up with it :)
Looking to fill in the slots of Astatine and others without buying multiple spicy pieces or a whole vial or uranium ore, so if anyone have any extra I could purchase of them that would be great!
Here is the finished product of the halogens I’ve been epoxying. Happy with the way it came out, though it will be a pain to try and remove them lol. The display was 3d printed and made to fit the exact sizes.
If you saw my post with the rest of the halogens, this is the last one. Currently working on a display for the four and will post here. This one was definitely more centered than the rest, but unfortunately it took some of the mold with it but it is what it is.
Liked the look of my chlorine and wanted a safer display for my bromine, so here we are. Fluorine is coming in the mail soon which I’ll epoxy as well. Hopefully it’ll be closer to the center this time 😬
About 2 grams of thallium under argon. When its shaken you can hear how soft it is just by how it bangs against the glass compared to other elements. Pretty cool in my opinion.
I did a poor job heating it but didn't want to draw the video out. Once the gas cools the iodine will recrystallize and it can be heated again.
Reddit won't let me upload the image of it, but it is roughly 2.5 cm, and its from Luciteria. A sick sample, but I never really get around to putting ice to it.
Always just thought that silicon was a pretty cool metal with its luster and weight, so this is a really nice sample from Luciteria.
Some more of my unique samples I have, from here on I’ll prob just post individually cause some are kinda lame.

Just recently finished my collection after a few years (1-95), and while I work on building a proper wall display, I figured I’d show off the collection starting with the alkalis :)

Visited family in Florida and of course took the opportunity to visit the wetlands and Everglades, definitely one of my favorite photos so far. If you look close enough, it seems the heron has something called a blown eye (Iris Coloboma I think is the actual name), cool to see, but also slightly sad

Measures ~1000cpm on a pancake probe outside the ampoule, tho not entirely sure what ore it is, but it’s the green on the matrix (obviously)
